These Terms govern your use of TiltFish, a chess-training and entertainment service. By using TiltFish, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to use the service where you live. TiltFish is not directed to children under 13. Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and must promptly report unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
Use TiltFish only lawfully and fairly. You must not disrupt or probe the service, send abusive or automated traffic, evade rate limits or safety controls, impersonate another person, manipulate ratings or match results, interfere with another player, upload unlawful or infringing content, or use TiltFish to facilitate fraud, harassment, or other abuse.
Profiles, multiplayer, and reports
You are responsible for profile content you submit and must have the rights needed to submit it. Do not include sensitive personal information in a biography or abuse report. Public profiles, ratings, and progress may be visible when you enable public statistics. TiltFish may moderate, remove, restrict, or preserve content and records when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or service integrity.
Imports and third-party services
Chess.com and Lichess imports are optional features that retrieve public game history at your request. Your use of those services remains subject to their terms and policies. TiltFish does not represent that third-party data is complete, current, or error-free.
Training estimates and ratings
Move labels, simulated strength, Stockfish analysis, ratings, and progress are estimates and learning aids. They are not official chess ratings, professional advice, or guarantees of the objectively best move. Ranked results may use server-controlled rules and may be corrected or rejected when integrity checks fail.
Ownership and feedback
TiltFish and its software, design, branding, and content are owned by TiltFish or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service for personal, lawful purposes. You retain rights in content you submit, while granting TiltFish the limited permission needed to host, display, process, and secure that content in connection with the service. Suggestions you provide may be used without compensation or obligation.
Availability, suspension, and termination
TiltFish may change, suspend, or discontinue features, including multiplayer and advertising, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, or operational reasons. You may stop using TiltFish and delete your account from the profile page. Export data you want to keep before deletion.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TiltFish is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TiltFish and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data or access, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
